The SurfEars 3.0 come with an array of different size ear plug options and leash which helps make changing the plug sizes even easier. The Ear 'sealing gels' themselves have also been re-modelled and by using thinner materials make them softer, more adaptable and more accommodating to fit in the ear better and resulting in a greater seal and more comfort. The great range of Ear gel/tip sizes means that the SurfEars 3.0 should accommodate a greater range of ear sizes from Children to Adult.
The accoustic mesh which allows sound through (but not water) now has greater resistance to UV and salt water and has a sturdier support mechanism to ensure that the mesh has greater protection. Overall the SurfEars3.0 and designed to withstand more and should last even longer than before.
SurfEars have close to zero acoustic loss in the frequency range of human speech while the best competitor cuts away about 20-30dB. To give you a reference, 30dB is roughly the difference between the loudest and lowest volume setting on your smartphone. That’s pretty big difference! SurfEars have now been on the market for some time and have proven to be extremely successful.
